The College of Europe is seeking candidates for two full-time positions of senior research fellow, covering respectively the Eastern and the Southern dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy, with an expected starting date of either 1 July or 1 September 2012. The two positions are part of the Chair of European Neighbourhood Policy recently established at the Natolin campus.

The College of Europe is seeking candidates for two full-time positions of senior research fellow, covering respectively the Eastern and the Southern dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy, with an expected starting date of either 1 July or 1 September 2012. The two positions are part of the Chair of European Neighbourhood Policy recently established at the Natolin campus.

Requirements :

  • a Ph.D. preferably in international relations, political science, law, economy or history;
  • a keen interest for European Neighbourhood Policy;
  • a proven track record of research and academic publications in the field of the European Neighbourhood Policy;
  • an ability to engage in teamwork and to participate in the development of research projects;
  • a very good command of English and French.

Tasks include:

  • the pursuit of research activities focusing respectively on the Eastern and the Southern dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy and leading to academic publications;
  • the participation in the organisation of seminars, workshops and conferences in the framework of the Chair of European Neighbourhood Policy;
  • the participation in joint projects and external missions undertaken in the framework of the Chair;
  • the provision of support to students writing their Master's papers on a topic within the senior research fellows' field of expertise.
