31 January 2010 Euro-Polity: Journal of European Affairs special issue, March 2010 The inaugural issue of Euro-Polity: Journal of European Affairs will be devoted to articles on the expectations and achievements of the Lisbon Treaty. The Treaty stirred up a lot of debate in the period since its inception. Some researchers and decision-makers asserted that it is a decisive step toward the communitarization of certain sensitive policies, such as external affairs. Others insisted that its provisions concerning the creation of a more federal European Union have been severely diluted. The inaugural issue of Euro-Polity seeks academic articles and research papers that assess the impact of the Lisbon Treaty on the European construction. The editors encourage the submission of papers that evaluate the Treaty's impact on European Union policies, institutions and governance. Contributions in English are welcome and the authors should use the Chicago/Harvard citation and reference system. europolity@snspa.ro
